Paraíso

Sérgio Tréfaut

Elderly people used to gather every day in the romantic gardens of the Catete Palace, formerly Brazil’s Presidential Palace and currently the Museum of the Republic in Rio de Janeiro.
After sunset, old men and women, to the accompaniment of musical instruments, would tell each other the meaning of life through love songs.
This film is a portrait of their lust for life, suddenly interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.
