Batrachian's Ballad, by Leonor Teles won the Firebird Award for Best Short Film at Hong Kong International Film Festival. The film was in competition along nineteen other international short films at one of the most important film festivals in Asia.
Batrachian's Ballad premiered last February at Berlinale where it won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film.
In Hong Kong the film had its Asian premiere.

The jury, with John Canciani, Kiki Fung and Amos Why mentioned that "Behind a seemingly simple film is a clever and profound narrative offering a historical and political allegory that articulates an important humanistic message through humor. Batrachian’s Balladreminds us of cinema’s power to be free, inventive and to speak for the oppressed."
