IndieLisboa awarded several films represented by Portugal Film. [02/05/2016]

The National Competition Jury with Johanna Caraire, Julien Rejl and Pierre da Silva has given the Allianz – Ingreme Award for Best Portuguese Feature Film to Treblinka, by Sérgio Tréfaut "a road movie through Eastern Europe in a stylish formal approach where the present landscape resonates with history."

The Nescafé Dolce Gusto – Ingreme Award for Best Portuguese Short Film was given "unanimously to an ambitious funny and tragic tale of science fiction, where imagination and narrative are combined with achievement" -The Hunchback, by Gabriel Abrantes and Ben Rivers.

This juri has also given the FNAC New Talent Award – Short Film to Campo de Víboras, by Cristèle Alves Meira.

The Árvore da Vida Jury, with Inês Gil, João Alves da Cunha and Rui Martins has given the Árvore da Vida Award for a Portuguese Film to Ascension, by Pedro Peralta "for its creative novelty along with a clear aesthetic maturity the journey of the camera reveals a mise-en-scène that surprises the viewer. (…) Between installation and film projection, the device explores the silence as an expressive force, expanding gesture and symbol."

 

As for the Amnesty International Jury, composed by Paulo Pinto, Susana Arrais and Tiago Carrasco decided to give an Honorable Mention to the film Batrachian's Ballad by Leonor Teles, "thanks to her courage exposing a symbol of discrimination that has been accepted in a passive way by the Portuguese people and also due to her original narrative."
