Invisible Hero by Cristèle Alves Meira, selected at Semaine de la Critique - Cannes [06/05/2019]

Cannes' Critiques' Week announced today the programme of its 58th edition which includes Invisible Hero, the latest short film by Cristèle Alves Meira.
Invisivel Hero is a Franco-Portuguese co-production, Fluxus Films and Midas Filmes, and has its world premiere in the national competition of IndieLisboa - International Film Festival.

Campo de Víboras, the director's previous film, with distribution of Portugal Film, had already been selected at Semaine de la Critique in 2016.

Duarte, a blind man in his 50’s, starts to look for his friend Leandro, a Cape Verdean immigrant who mysteriously disappeared. Despite his disability and Lisbon's summer heat, Duarte walks miles in his neighborhood, but no one seems to even remember Leandro.That’s when he finds Leandro's picture of a woman in front of a disco. Maybe she’ll be able to help him.
