The Bath by Maria Inês Gonçalves selected at FIDMarseille [05/06/2022]

The Bath by Maria Inês Gonçalves (produced by Maria Inês Gonçalves and Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola), is selected for the FIDMarseille – Marseille International Film Festival which takes place between the 5th and 11th of July 2022.

Maria Inês Gonçalves studied cinema at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School and at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastían, using a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian foundation. Her first short film “O Meu Pijama” premiered at Premier Plans D'Angers Film Festival in 2017. Maria Inês worked as production management on films such as “The Metamorphosis of Birds” and “The Lamb of God”. She is currently developing her first feature film, a project selected by the NOKA Mentoring Program at the Tabakalera Cultural Center in San Sebastián.

The Bath is an experimental and intimate film that explores the moment of bathing in a playful and nostalgic way. The boat that sails on the waters of the bathtub is no longer the boat in the bathtub, the real and the imaginary mix.
