Invisible Hero awarded as best european film at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival [10/02/2020]

Invisible Hero, short film directed by Cristèle Alves Meira, was awarded as best European film, part of the International Competition of Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival.

The director's fifth short film is a co-production between the French Fluxus Films and the Portuguese Midas Filmes, distributed internationally by Portugal Film - Portuguese Film Agency. The film had its world premiere at IndieLisboa International Film Festival and premiered internationally at Semaine de la Critique - Festival de Cannes. 

The jury of the festival's international competition, composed by Alain Gomis (director), Marta Prus (director, screenwriter), Yuko Shimizu (illustrator), Olivier Smolders (director, producer) and Ken Wardrop (director, screenwriter and producer), materialized this award in a pre-nomination for the European Film Awards.


One of the biggest short film festivals in the world, taking place in 2020 between January 31st and February 8th, Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival organizes parallely the Short Film Market with thousands of film professionals as producers, directors, distributors and exhibitors.

Portugal Film - International Portuguese Cinema Agency was present for the fifth consecutive time in this market, to present and promote a new catalogue of Portuguese films.
