For a long time now, a very fruitful partnership has been established between the Panorama Festival of São Salvador da Bahia and Portugal Film / Associação IndieLisboa, which has allowed the exhibition of Portuguese films to be shown annually.
This year the selected films are “Sacavém” by Júlio Alves (in Latin American premiere), as well as Tiago Guedes's film “Tristeza e Alegria na Vida das Girafas”, whose world premiere had taken place in Guadalajara, Mexico. The short films “Les Extraordinaires Mésaventures de la Jeune Fille” by Pierre de Gabriel Abrantes (premiered at Cannes), “O Mar Enrola na Areia” by Catarina Mourão (premiered at Visions du Réel) and “Em Caso de Fogo” ”, by Tomás Paula Marques, who thus returns to Brazil after an auspicious debut at the Olhar de Cinema festival. The films will be shown in a program combined between short and feature films, a hallmark of the festival that brings together films of different formats and durations.
In competition, as a Latin American premiere, will be "Invisible Hero" by Cristèle Alves Meira, who returns to the festival after being awarded here with her previous film.
