Júlia Barata

Júlia Barata was born in 1981, in Coimbra, Portugal. Works as an architect and comic writer. Published the books "Familia", "Quotidiano de Luxo", "2 Historias de Amor", "Gravidez". Ilustrated child and adult’s books and for independent media. Exhibited her paintings in individual or collective exhibitions in galleries and institutions. Co-director of Mesa, art gallery and workshops (Buenos Aires, 2019-2022). Teaches Graphic Project Clinic, Experimental Comic, and Motion Graphic narrative in Buenos Aires. In 2018 starts drawing animation short movies, for digital platforms and videoclips. Tindergraf is her first short film.
